About my studio work
Painting is one of the best ways I have found to express myself and to explore the world within and around us. Influenced by thoughts and observations, I create images that inspire me.
Images that will enrich my life by provoking questions & self reflection, in other words, art that aims to elevate the spirit, allegorical paintings that make me and hopefully others think.
By focusing in a particular theme and using deserted landscapes combined with dramatic skies to set a tone or mood, the artwork delivers a symbolic message.
A message that embodies and symbolizes a particular human value, a feeling or Spirit;
to enhance, illuminate and to better understand...
What is Best or Worse in Them.
About my outdoor work
For me painting in plein air ( outdoors ) is a form of "break" from studio work. Not only do I get some fresh air but I also hang out with the best teacher of all. Nature.
I believe that by observing and painting clouds in real time among other natural elements, I will gain a deeper connection and understanding of them, making me a better colorist and observer. In my opinion that further enriches my studio work and it helps me paint the concepts I see in my mind and bring those inner ideas to life.
I am deeply in awe of the outdoors and love to spend nights on a row just hanging out and painting in the wilderness.
